Check the version of the app

All features of Family Link work much better on the latest or updated version. If you are facing glitches on your phone or your child’s phone, make sure you have the latest version of the Family Link app installed. If not, you can go to the Google PlayStore or the App Store and update your existing app.

After the update, check if your parental control settings in Family Link are working fine.

Reinstall the app

The Family Link app for Parents runs on Android devices with Android OS version 5 (Lollipop) and higher and iOS devices with iOS 11 and higher.

To find out what Android version you are running, follow the steps below,

  • Open the Settings app
  • Scroll to the bottom
  • Tap on the About Phone option
  • You will find OS version number
