- Make sure the device you are casting the YouTube video from ( mobile phone or computer) is connected to the same metro as the Chromecast
- Now, open YouTube.com or the YouTube app
- If you are using the web browser, you will see the Cast button on the bottom right corner of the video player
- If you are using the app version, you can find the Cast button at the top of the Home Screen
- Tap on the Chromecast device you want to cast to and click on Play
- Your YouTube video will start playing on your Chromecast device.
- If you want to stop casting, simply click on the Cast button and click on Disconnect

Repeat choosing the same account

When Chromecast is promoting you to choose a different Google account, choose the same account as before, and continue. You will probably be facing the same error again but continue to choose the same account. Repeat this step about three times. Users have reported that even though this step is a bit of a hassle, it definitely works for the time being.
Reset the App
Chromecast users have claimed that resetting the app works. Check out the steps below to do the same.
- You can launch the YouTube App on your phone out tablet
- Click on your profile icon at the top right corner
- Go to Settings
- Click on Reset app
This will remove all n your YouTube recommendations and search history but it’s worth a try if it means it will fix the issue at hand.
